The wake of silence

Today was a quiet day, full of lounging around the house, listening to music and browsing the web. But as the night is here and my mind is awake, I am constantly thinking of one thing. Love. It happens when you least expect it and sometimes when you least want it. It's only been 8 months of being single, and I feel like there is a lot happening in my love life that I can't control nor really want. Now is the time for me to focus on my life, my goals, my future. I am the type that would put everything aside to make the people I love feel supported, and encouraged. But I am putting my foot down and standing up for me. I will not degrade myself and I will put myself first for once.�

The Relationship Title

Lately I have been searching my heart in reference to a relationship that I am in. The problem that I am facing is that we are in a relationship in title only. We have been 'dating' for almost a year and yet I feel single.

When we met I made sure that he understood what I was looking for in a relationship.� I don't necessarily need someone to take care of me, financially I am very capable of taking care of myself.� But I was hoping to find someone to share my life with.� In reality, we see each other every week for approximately 2 hours due to a mutual game that we play, but we are not alone during this time.� As for 'us' time, we see each other maybe every 3 or 4 weeks, sad part�is that we live about 15 minutes apart, when we do it is because I have made the effort to spend time with him and it ends up being sexual in which I am no where near satisfied.� The man can't last more than 25 minutes, seriously!

Everytime that I invite him to my home, there is always a reason why that can't happen.�

So now, I know this relationship is going no where, so why don't I have the guts to just end it?

�So tonight i got my heart broken for what i hope would be the last time. I chose to allow one person to remain in my life for 6 years wich is totally out of character for me. For the first time in my life im not even hurt about it. im used to the things he does and his childish mind games tactics. It just blows my mind how he STILL doesnt seem to appreciate me after all this time.I should be the apple of his eye by now. How could two people deal with each other for so long but one claim not to love the other? Makes me wonder. What is love? Is it even real? Or is it merely just a figment of our imagination? When we believe in love are we just as crazy as the people who believe in mermaids, unicorns and bigfoot? See me im a firm believer in staying positive and having hope so i dont want to be that ONE person who doesnt believe. But time and time again i feel like people prove to me its no such thing.�
