January 27

Toay I had to go to meeting. Kathy had come to Philadelphia to meet with the supervisers, marquis, and Judy. It was a productive meeting. We discussed a lot. I wish we could have more meetings like this and with all the supervisors. It just seems that we can get a lot out in the open and discuss a lot of issues. The meeting pretty much consumed my day, because by the time I was done with the meeting it was time to pick the kids up from school. Once we got home it was homework time, and after the homework was done I worked on clearing backboards which has been a little bit of a mess for months now. Tomorrow it's back to work, but the good thing is it will only be three days.

Got a lot of running around done today...Tool Nathan's bookbag to school that he forgot... Home Depot to get a new light for the bathroom... Best Buy to see if I can find a cheap USB cord for the IPod... Barnes and Nobles- just to look around... Pep Boys to get the van windshield wiper replaced... Haircut... Grocery shopping, and when all that was done, I had only about an hour before it was time to pick the kids up from school. I like my "hang around the house" days better :)

January 25

A rainy day! The sun did come out in the latter part of the afternoon, and with the high temperature today at 61, it actually felt good for that short time. The weather man is talking about another snow storm for Saturday. This could put a damper on weekend plans. Natalie has a birthday party to go to at 2:00, and either on Saturday or Sunday we were planning to go to either Phoenix or Tampa. Neither event might not take place if the snow amounts are high. Not much of an eventful day.

I spent most of the day inside watching TV and being lazy. I watched the old flick, War Games. I wanted to record it for Natalie. She was asking me why Russians are always spys, and the bad guys in movies. I taught her about the cold war era when they were considered the enemy. And while we still don't trust each other, it's not as tense as it used to me. I told her about the movie, and told her I would record it for her to watch. But after seeing it first (as any good parent should do!), there are some scenes that are inappropriate. But I think I can fast forward to a point to get past it.

Sunday, January 24

I went for a walk to the park today! It's been a couple of months since I've had my walks. The cold weather in December, Christmas, trip to Florida... all have contributed to me not taking my early morning walks that I love so much. I believe it's going to be rainy over the next few days, so this (regretably) could be my only walk for the month.

Robin bought a second remote for the Wii for the kids the other day and gave it to them this morning. They played with it until it was time to leave for church at 0930. I prefer to go to the first service, but it's a lot easier to do this when I go by myself. Robin isn't an early morning person, and getting the kids to the first service means getting them ready almost as soon as they wake up.

Kevin KahlerThe service was good. I always like it when Kevin leads worship. His voice is perfect to get you into a mood of worship. Bob didn't give the message though. It was a guest speaker from California. I usually don't like guest speakers. This one wasn't too bad though.

I'm writing this entry early, so I may do another before bed tonight.
