Today Ron has tried to communicate with his nurses by raising his eye brows. Tiffany opened his eyes this morning and asked him to open his mouth if he could see her- he did. We are making some progress!

The doctor discussed with us that he will re-start plasmapherisis therapy this week; however, they must first build up his protein.

Ron's progress remains the same. Today Cindy opened his eyelids for him and asked him to open his mouth if he could see her. He opened his mouth and tears came out his eyes. Thanks again for your comments - these will be encouraging to Ron when his condition improves.

Let us start off by saying thanks again for all of your encouraging comments. Today, Ron was able to communicate with his nurse by opening and closing his mouth for "yes" and "no". They are continuing to give his pain medications to keep him comfortable.

Cindy received a call this morning from the doctor letting her know he thinks the illness is beginning to turn around! Ron was able to track with his eyes better this morning and able to open his mouth on command. He continues to receive antibiotics for the pneumonia and had a slight temperature.

Ron has developed pneumonia; however, the antibotics have been able to lower his white count. He is still able to move his jaw and mouth.

Well, today marks the 2nd week of Ron's condition. His progress remains the same and is still moving his jaw. His temperature was slightly elevated and antibotics were started. They are keeping a close watch and being agressive to prevent pneumonia. Again, thank you so much for your prayers.
* *To Ron's nursing staff - you are each special and much appreciated. * *

Still no changes throughout the night - vitals still remain good. The bed repositions him 8 times in an hour (not every 30 minutes). Going to postpone albumin plasma transfer until tomorrow. Thanks again and again for the sweet, caring comments. We know each of you are very special to Ron.
