Well this is the third week of school for the new year.. Wow... how time flies.. I feel that despite the buziness of school, I actually enjoy every minute of my day in school, interacting with the pupils and making learning fun for them. God has blessed me with a wonderful family and friends and I can't thank HIM enough for what I've been given. Every day I read in the papers about the tragedies that happened around the globe, people dying from natural disasters like flood, earthquake, and those who are waiting for their death from a cronic medical condition, and old age. Sometimes I compare my life with those in destitute and I actually wonder what problems do I have that can be compared to them..... So God thank you for all the blessings you've showered on me n my family. And to all the others out there, my prayers go out to you...may God give u the strength to face the hardship. Remember...God does not test u beyond your strength...coz he loves all of us.

The first day of 2007. It has been good. Started out by packing up my school stuff, getting ready for school on 3rd of January. Will be taking P5 this year and only taking Math and SS. Kinda of excited and at the same time sad.. Excited coz I'll be going to meet new students and new challenges... sad coz the holidays have been just wonderful. I managed to bond with my family, going out and having fun with them. I have also explored new technologies and read books(that's the thing I will miss the most when school starts). I started skyping and met some really nice pple. It is really addictive. I have also discovered this online journal which I hope to introduce to my pupils in school. I have also picked up some books on IT such as Adobe Photoshop.. to learn some tips or two about how to enhance digital images. Met a new friend on this injournal.com. She's nice and I hope to meet more of other friends here. To everyone, have a great 2007!! May all your dreams and aspirations come true....

Hmm.. what is the finest moment in my life?? I guess it would be overcoming my depression that was triggered by my colleague's comment and also my high expectations of myself. Being the perfectionist that I am, I tried to be the best teacher, best mom, best HOD, best wife, best muslim and sometimes ...or rather most of the time it is really hard to fulfill those roles as much as u tried. And.. when things turn out to be otherwise than planned, I get very upset and tend to blame myself for whatever happens. This is turn leads to depression and low self-esteem. For the new year, I planned to let bygones be bygones, live for the present and let the future decides what's in store for me. I am going to smile more and make each day counts... so for all of u out there, happy 2007 and may the year brings much happiness, success and luck in whatever you do!! U all will be in my prayers....

The school hols is coming to an end now....ah ...well... I had fun though... it was great!! I bonded with my family members and made a lot of new frens at skype!! My hopes for 2007 is that it would be a wonderful year for me. I know it is going to be tough as every year the expectation rises but i am not going to rest on my laurels. I hope to make a greater impact in my students and in my role as the head of dept. I know I will be able to rise to the challenge.. Here's to good health, career and lots of love from all that knows me... God bless!!
