Right Timing - Unanswered Prayers

Ecclesiastes 3:7
"...a time to be silent and a time to speak,"

Picking the right time is crucial. There is a certain time when a parent should correct the child. Don't do it in public because it will only embarrass the child and it will not learn from being so distracted by everyone staring at them. As a child, we wait until the proper time to ask for permission or to tell mom and dad that we got a lower grade on something. The majestic way God has created our brains.

Yet we have this crazy expectation that God has to answer our prayers immediately. Key things to remember 1. We are created in HIS image 2. He gave us this sense to be able to distinguish when/where certain things or conversations should take place.

Know that he has a plan, he is in control. He knows when the best time to let us know or experience something is. And he knows when to be silent.

Speech

Psalm 58:1
"Do you really speak righteously, you mighty ones? Do you judge people fairly?"

What if someone followed you for an entire day and they were able to witness the words that come out of your mouth. Think of situations of sitting in traffic or getting cut off at the check out lane. The words you express out loud are easy because you think nobody can hear you or that you will never see that person again. What if you were the only good they saw that day instead. What if the way you treat them reflected Jesus instead.

What if that person following you had the ability to read your mind. Praise for the words not slipping through your mouth and actually hurting the other person. But now how are your thoughts reflecting Christ? Would this person see you as and individual who has a relationship with Christ?

What if YOU were the only bible they ever read.
