Bullr Trip Day 4

Another great start to the day weather wise; nice and sunny.

Spent some good time skiing from the top of Bull Run Chair, down skyline and Standard. Canb really get some speed up Standard.

Finally got up the courage to give Womens Downhill a go. This was a mistake. Very steepo and icy, and deep mogauls and very narrow. Too hard for my capability. After falling over a few times I got close to the bottom and lost a ski. Took me 10 minutes to walk back up and get it. Thenn another 10 minutes or so to walk down to the bottom.

I thought my binding or boot was stuffed, but it turned out I just needed to knock the snow off it. I need to be a bit better before trying something that hard again. Probably can't getb much more difficult though, so I'm not far off.

Finished skiing about 3 and headed home.

Highlights of skiing for the trip.
Top of Summit down to bottom of Howqa gunning it.
Summit slide
Mens Downhill
Standard
Can't wait to go skiing again. I'm hooked.

Buller ski trip day 3

Pretty good weathe day today, a fair bit of sun around in the morning, although this turned quite cloudy in the afternoon.

Skied all over the mountain again. Got a bit adventurous over at sunnit slide biting ioff a bit of the black stuff north east of the lift.

Got the boys to try top half of Federation and Mens Downhill which they loved.

Day ended up quite funny omn the way down. Trying to get from Wombat down to bottom of Bourke Street somehpw managed to cross Bourke Street in the white out and ended up down "Laycocks Lane" which I had no idea wher it was. I thought it would end up at the bottom of Bull run or something, but incredibly we ended up at the bottom of Boggy Creek. Phil and I had a great laugh and it continues to be a point of humour to this day.

Dinner at Kooroora or Uncle Pat's, whichever one we didn't go to yesterday.

Buller ski trip day 2

Another days skiing. Started off a bit seedy from the nights drinking but the cool air soon cleared that away. Ended up being a pretty miserable day weather wise. Rained on and off all day and ended up quite wet, but strangely did not get cold. Not sure whether that was because my gear was quite good, or I simply kept warm because of the skiing.

Tried most of the mountain today, with a few good runs down summit slide and lift back up Grimus. Also gave Mens Downhill a go and the top half of federation. All good stuff.

Tried to dry our stuff off in front of the fire at Kooroora, steam everywhere. Dinner at Kooroora again, or was this te Uncle Pat's night?
