Met with Takuo today; he was just curious about my web biz and had some questions about starting an educational consulting business in Japan. Phil's tax returns also finally came in - rushed to get them to the P.O. before it closed. (dang, taxes hurt).

Phew; a tiring but productive day walking around NYC. The weather felt wonderful. Thuy and I went to the garment district, where she successfully haggled a good deal on Thu's wedding decorations. We then walked around chinatown, lugging around bags of foo

Very interesting class today with Reed Hunt, former FCC chairman. He had a very articulate and passionate view as to the social responbisility of business when it came to net neutrality, coming out swinging with a suprisingly strong analogy with hitler ge

Had the monster guy come into class today and speak. A bit harsh on student comments, but he was interesting. His idea about not just following the fat rabbit was good; instead of just trying to duke it out in a profitable area, create the market and be t

Finally hit the gym - need to get back into this; especially after mom's minor health scare last weekend (really reminds you the need/gift of being healthy). Started work on tjunction last night with some help from odesk; hope to get a prototype done

Things have slowed down a good bit, which is nice, as the semester winds down. One class today, getting caught up on work and sleep (aahhh). Gotta start planning Hk trip stuff. Helped out Matt last night on his baseballplayerrankings site; it was fun. I e

Still more server issue; ugh - but, I think we found the issue. Mainly poor queries that searched all of 3 large tables, writing to temp files, and also being able to better optimize the server settings. Did wonders. Also went to 6RM for the LEAD meeting;

Still dealing with these server issues. Ugh; but learning a helluva lot. Originally thought the problem was with files and dbs (as indicated by hosting company, surprise), but now starting to think it's with the server settings. Let that be a lesson to yo
