Effective immediately, the sun has grudging agreed to stop snipping pieces off the end of the day. However, the practice of shortening the beginning of the day will continue for another month.

Yesterday the sun...blinked.  For about a second.  Just short enough to doubt your senses; but long enough to confirm your fears.

All class objects must be initialized by a constructor. If explicitly declared as a member function, its body can perform additional tasks, like passing the class object's argument to a data member. In the absence of a declared constructor, the program will implicitly provide a default constructor.

The parameters of a member function are just undefined instances of the parameter type. They are not defined until called in main, at which time they are assigned values that must be previously defined in main.

After you create a class with its member functions you have to instantiate it  by creating a class object in main which can then call the member functions using the dot operator.

If you redefine every line drive to an infielder as a double, and then rescore the game according to the progression of the rest of the box score, how often would that change the outcome of the game? Or season?

In other words, what exactly does it mean to say that "it's a game of inches"?

I sectioned my living room in half with a floor-to-ceiling curtain made from the silverized bubble-wrap that contractors use as inside-wall insulation. In the summer, it saved me the expense of buying a larger air conditioner. Now that it's Fall, and the landlord is delaying the boiler startup, I can keep the area warm with an oil-filled electric radiator.  Keeps the cat happy.
